To whom it may concern,
Out of the Heat Niagara is a one of a kind emergency shelter and after-hours service hub, spear headed by members of your community who are working together to fill identified service gaps. Our goal is to provide overnight shelter and food for up to seven nights a week over the hot summer months. In addition we break down barriers by bringing in traditional 9-5 services such as addiction workers, mental health supports, and housing workers so that clients are able to access these resources in-house. In 2018 we provided these services to 249 unique individuals, and believe that the need will be just as great this coming season.
As we receive no government funding, we are looking for donations of our most-needed items in order to allow our fundraising efforts to go towards operating costs. Our current list is as follows:
We need your assistance helping our fellow members of the community in their time of need. Your support is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or would like to contribute in a different way please feel free to contact email@example.com, or give us a call at (905) 964-1474.
